Rebelle Rally

Zero To Rally is the story of four competitors from Rivian competing in the Rebelle Rally, a 7 day off-road women-only navigation rally race that covers 2,500km of terrain without the use of any cell phones or GPS navigation. While embedded with this team over 5 days, I captured on-location footage, interviews, and b roll to bring this story to life. Additionally, I was tasked with finalizing motion graphics and delivery of this project. This was an amazing opportunity to craft a narrative in long-form video and push my boundaries in all aspects of video production.

2023 Rebelle Rally Teaser

Collaborating with our Senior Editor, I was able to put together this teaser for the Zero To Rally short film. This teaser was shared on social media to entice viewers for the full film and reflect the hurdles this team had to overcome in their training. As editor, this was a chance to remix the most salient points of training with sound design to get casual viewers excited.

2023 Rebelle Rally Open Call

As both videographer and editor for this piece, I was thrilled to build upon my rapport with this team to get them sharing their passion for this project. As an internal piece of content, we were focused on sharing the nitty gritty details of joining, and finding the line between preparing and scaring away potential candidates. Crafting the informational side of this project was a fun challenge in editing, and the result is an engaging piece that outlines what being a Rebelle Rally competitor at Rivian involves.

Easy Entry

I shot, directed, and edited this piece for Rivian’s OTA software update that included Easy Entry mode. Demonstrating the use case for this handy feature was a fun exercise in simplicity and displaying how seamless Rivian’s advanced features fit into a customer’s daily life. This was a great opportunity for me to work in a more directorial role, allowing me to manage composition, blocking, storyboarding, and more. Working outdoors in a constantly changing environment presents a host of challenges, but its through these scenarios that I have learned more about what it takes to create good video.

Enduro Motor Validation

Collaborating with our brand archivist in Normal, IL, I edited this piece introducing Rivian’s new Enduro motor. Our team works across many different offices and environments and being able to effectively hand off files and align on a finished product is a large aspect of our positions. One of the biggest considerations with this piece was communicating just what changes were being done under the hood. A simple, plain english explanation of the changes made to the motor, alongside straightforward video compliments each other well in this piece that gives customers a greater understanding of their purchase.
