City Edition
For the 20/21 season, I had the opportunity to produce a variety of content for our new City Edition uniform and court. On this project I was tasked with filming and editing the City Edition court teaser video, as well as the principal photography for both the court and uniforms. In addition to this, I was on set to capture behind-the-scenes footage of the City Edition uniform shoot. This was an exciting chance to build hype for the new uniform, and it presented an opportunity for creativity for me shooting in low light, capturing unique angles of the court, and bringing this new look to life.
Team Video
Creating a video for the Utah Jazz players was an interesting change of audience. In this edit, I was tasked with all motion graphics and bringing the new Jazz brand guidelines for this season into a looping edit for the team’s locker room. Merging traditional footage with green-screen capture enabled me to highlight players in unique ways while bringing the hype. As sole editor and motion graphics artist, this piece was a great exercise in working across multiple programs, maintaining editability, and exerting more creative freedom.
Off The Court
Looking to create more social content for the Utah Jazz, I collaborated with Digital Producer Nayo Campbell to create Off the Court, a multi-part series that follows the unsung heroes of Utah Jazz gamedays. Working alongside Nayo to create a script, I directed, shot, edited, and created new motion graphics for this series to bring this idea to life. This series was quickly picked up for sponsorship by Qualtrics and has continued for the following 2 seasons. Crafting engaging, bite-size stories with members of the Utah Jazz franchise has given fans a closer look into the organization and strengthened our social media offering.
